WHAT PEOPLE SAY about working with mamie

Everyone loves working with mamie

Samantha

I can’t say enough about how awesome it is to work with Mamie—she’s a very human and understanding leader who cares about the people she works with and genuinely finds joy in helping people succeed. She was whip-smart at analyzing the issues I was facing and breaking down my brain-dump and stories into concise issues, repeating them back to me, and then offering actionable approaches to the matter at hand, as well as some rules of thumb to help in other situations. If I hadn’t worked with Mamie, I would probably still be stuck in old ruts.

Dave

Mamie has been an extremely valuable resource, helping my team to increase our organizational impact and effectiveness. She brings significant expertise in organizational and group process, and interpersonal dynamics.

Mamie is an exceptional facilitator! She makes great use of tools to frame discussion and is a natural at guiding conversation without driving direction. Finally, Mamie is a great synthesizer. She is a great listener who has been able to capture various points of view to develop meaningful and actionable models for my team.

Dorit

Mamie’s a great listener, empathic. and is always ready to learn something new. She’s an ideal balance of kind and candid, driven and flexible, ambitious and understanding.

If you have the opportunity to be coached by Mamie, do it! She’s the real thing. Mamie’s coaching has changed the way I think and work so that I can do more with less stress.

Optimize Your Time

“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it."

     ~ Charles Buxton

We’ve got a lot to do on any given day. Get your work done, help others do theirs, care for family and friends, and do something for yourself. It never feels like there is enough time. People talk of balancing time, but I believe in optimizing. There will always be trade-offs – should I spend the next hour working, at the gym, or cooking a healthy meal? The key is to be intentional and strategic about your priorities and how you work.

Cultivate Your Team

“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”

     ~ Phil Jackson

As a manager, your job is triply complex. You have your own deliverables to complete and your individual team members to support. Plus, you’re responsible for developing the team as a collective unit. This may seem daunting, but I believe it can be a blessing. Cultivating your team – individually and collectively – enables you all to do more, better, faster work.

Achieve Your Goals

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”

     ~ Zig Ziglar

Everybody wants to accomplish as many of their goals as possible. The question is how will you evolve as you achieve each one. I believe that the process of optimizing your time and cultivating your team will challenge you and help you grow, making you a great manager, leader and contributor.  At the end of the day, you and your team will accomplish great things while hopefully having some fun along the way.

Hi.

I'm Mamie.

I’ve spent most of my life trying to improve the world because I live in a constant state of gratefulness and constructive dissatisfaction. Much of the time, that means helping others manage themselves, their teams and their organizations more effectively. Between art school and business school, being an entrepreneur and a mom, I’ve learned that how you work is just as important as what you accomplish. That’s my mission.
